The Council has the power to raise money through the precept. The precept is the Parish Council's share of the Council Tax. The precept demand goes to the East Riding of Yorkshire which collects tax for the Parish Council. Please see Parish Precept information listed on the left hand side of this page.
The Lissett Wind Farm also provides an opportunity to apply on an annual basis for funding towards village events that happen through out the year.Any large expenditures that may be required in the village external grants would have to be applied for and these are not a guaranteed.
The Council's Assett is the Play Park which is situated along Main Street and has been there since 1949. An annual maintenance routine is in place and we are striving to maintain and renew all play equipment with the aid of Parish Council funds via Precept/funding/grants. A new Aerospeed Cableway was installed 20th February 2017. A new Roundabout was installed 6th March 2019.
Beeford Parish Council is now responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of four waiting/bus shelters situated along Beeford Main Street installed on 3rd March 2018. Without the application for a contribution grant to the Community Lissett Wind Farm fund by Beeford Parish Council this would not have been possible.
